Wafra has been inspired from the traditional ‘Mushawak’ design that is one of the most popular designs in the Gulf region. According to history books, the ‘Mushawak’ jewelry resembled ‘Fertility’ in the olden ages and were only worn by married women back then. Women’s Arms and ankles were always decorated with jewelry, which was seen as a form of wealth and prosperity. The name ‘Wafra’ –meaning Abundance or the Plentiful Wealth in Arabic-resembles the beauty of the past combined with a touch of modernity, bringing two different timelines together.
Because Ebzeem Jewelry believes in the unity of humanity and the nobility of all cultures, The Flower of Life design was chosen as an underneath pattern of each conical shape. It is believed that the Flower of Life is the basic template for everything in existence, symbolizing creation and reminding us of the unity of everything.
